While it is true that most music tutors would accommodate an amateur student, their programs are often tailor made to be saturated with skills and concepts that the average amateur musician would never use or benefit from. My main goal is to equip you with enough tools that you never feel completely helpless, but not waste your time and money teaching you skills I know you don’t need.

It is a near impossibility for a music tutor, or student for that matter, to know exactly what tools a student will require down the road, which is why I aim to provide my students with a framework that equips them to teach themselves any necessary skills to adapt to whatever musical environment they find themselves in. This is best achieved through Private Lessons, however I do believe that my pre-recorded lessons are among the best available resources in this field to equip you to do exactly that without ever needing a one-on-one lesson.

The goal of every lesson is to equip you to jam your instrument, and within the Private Lesson ecosystem, the jam environment of your choice will be taken into account to ensure that you have the necessary practical skills to jam. The Package Courses will focus on making sure you have a general arsenal of practical skills to jam in most common music environments.

When it comes to music theory, I focus on theory that I would consider pertinent to actually playing your instrument.

There is no need to learn convoluted music theory concepts that will never benefit you as an amateur musician. Rather learn only the curated concepts that will empower you to jam, or to teach yourself required skills to jam.
