Kyle

Kyle grew up with music in his hands and gospel in his ears. He started playing keyboard, bass, & drums as a teenager, cutting his teeth in church bands where reading a room and responding in real time was just part of the job. That experience gave him something textbooks can’t teach: feel.

Over the years Kyle has played in live settings from intimate worship services to large-scale church productions, cut his teeth in a rock/metal band, and currently performs with Newcastle-based band Smokkelhuiz. Along the way he expanded his instrument repertoire to include the guitar. What makes him particularly effective as a tutor is the same thing that makes him effective on stage — he listens first, then responds.

His lessons are warm, unhurried, and grounded in one belief: every student has their own musical voice, and his job is to help you find yours.
